Many, many years ago, I read music and English at university.
As a teacher, I chose to teach English rather than music, but I have been a good amateur violinist, leader of one orchestra and conductor of another. At present I serve as director of music at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Stirling.

Serious health problems forced me into retirement, but I remain active in the travel trade and with my various musical activities. After closing DA Tours, I continue to run a selection of tours and to offer a range of consultancy services with the huge bonus of not having to commute for three hours every day!
My travel trade consultancy has operated successfully since 1998.
